“Yuh Like It”

Good day readers and supporters! Thanks again for staying on top of what’s happening in our West Indian culture and lifestyle. There is so much new music content dropping for this summer, but we’re going to focus on one especially, being that it might pique the interest of both males and females than just mere music lovers. The duet contains two Caribbean sex symbols and both are on an explosive summer track together. Christopher Martin is considered one of the brightest, young stars straight out of Jamaica, he has had hits such as “Cheaters Prayer,” “Can’t Do It Again,” “I’m A Big Deal,” “Life” and many more hits.

Now taking a look at the Trinidadian singer-songwriter Ashana Finesse, she hasn’t made it into the international market as Christopher Martin as of yet, but she has been racking up the views on Instagram and all social media platforms alike. She’s talented, beautiful, and could contest with any of our pop females out there in the mainstream entertainment world.

I’m currently sitting down with the producer of the track, Marlon Easy from Jus Easy Productions, a label renown for making some of the hottest beats within the Dancehall & Reggae genre. He’s produced for the likes of Busy Signal, Lia Caribe, Peppa, and the Big Yard production team, so it’s safe to say he knows his way around musically.
Now let’s get back to the track, It’s one we can see and hear making waves during the summer and beyond. It’s very melodic, where Marlon has kept the vibes and energy geared towards the dancefloor. He wanted to keep West Indians happy, and the best way to do so is via the dance floor. It has bouncy 808s mixed with Dancehall loops, laced with signature Caribbean flavored strings and chords. The sound or the sonic from Chris Martin is a typical Chris Martin delivery, one which is classy but still sexy. Ashana has the sound of a pop princess in the making, and we can see where and why Marlon chose her for the track. Her sultry chords and Trinidadian accent made the track one to remember…

Readers and Supporters we’re going to do this in a three-part series. This is the first of the three to introduce you to who, where and why these people are the future. So stay tuned and stay in the know with us!
