The Real Cost To Be The Boss

Let’s face it social media makes it extremely easy to “BE A BOSS”, from online boutiques, to make up gurus, selling the latest glitter lipstick, that you can wear nowhere, except in a selfie staged for social media. If you are anything like me, you cant wear that glitter crap on a Tuesday, I’m not going to a party, but heading to the laundry mat, while answering and responding to your business emails and trying to be #CREATIVE, plus the kids or the dog, are creating massive distractions in the background (Shout out Henny, my 1 year old HYPER and also dope in her “chocolateness” #PitLab). In a nutshell, what glitters (you like that don’t you) isn’t always gold. It really isn’t that easy, and the costs are much higher than simply copying and pasting a standard company photo, and reposting content to earn a percentage of a company’s profits. NO, I’m not throwing shade, make your money honey!!! But that understanding of being a boss is slightly flawed.

After another week of successful stop and go, ups and downs and PROGRESSSSS, I felt moved to share what it REALLY #Cost2BetheBoss.
No, I am not referring to money, these expenses I am sharing don’t amount to any monetary value but the personal value that the costs amount to. So here you go:

CCharacter Building; part of the process of being a successful #Entrepreneur will require you to neglect everything you thought you knew. While allowing yourself to build character into the leader you aspire to be.

OOneness; another price you will have to pay, is becoming one with who you are despite, your past or current circumstances, believing that what you dream is your best guidebook to making your dreams reality.

SSeparation; the feeling of disconnection will come is different levels. I found that the first level of separation comes from those you least expect, everyone’s journey is unique, I  can’t tell you who, just know it burns when the separation comes. But your good because the next level is ahead of you, something great happens at this level, you start to meet like-minded people who support you. Then the last level which is a double cost, is separation from your old self, the self that served you no purpose. You are #GlowingUp.

TTrial & Error; The final expense is your idea of overnight success. It’s a journey, you have to try things and fail. Get up and dust it off and keep it moving. Thinking that you will get it right and never fail is setting yourself up for failure before you even take off. There will sleepless nights,  tough decisions, opting out of the holidays, missing family, and friends so much you grind harder the next day because you know it’s going to work.

So if you can afford it, with payments in blood, sweat and tears then shoot for the stars! #BOSS.

  1. This is a very written review. I enjoyed the honest perspective. Sometimes we see someone’s success and think it happened quickly and without sacrifices. Thank you for sharing, and may God continue to bless you with success!

  2. I have been surfing on-line greater than 3 hours these days, but I by no means discovered any fascinating article
like yours. It is pretty price enough for me. Personally, if
all website owners and bloggers made good content as you probably did,
the web will probably be much more helpful than ever

  3. When I originally left a comment I appear to
have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I
receive four emails with the same comment. Is there a means
you are able to remove me from that service? Many thanks!
