As the cool temperatures arise and the leaves fall to the ground, can we reflect on summer for just a moment? Reflection is good for the soul, right. Take me back to the warm things, the good times. And summer is an amazing time!
I couldn’t help but think about the time I collaborated with @kevindanielsphoto, @remedy.ruth, and @mtebeauty on a photoshoot in Lawrenceville, Ga. On a hot day, right before the raindrops fell, we caught some awesome shots. I love being blessed with the gift to CREATE.
I had no idea what I was going for initially in terms of makeup for this shoot. I didn’t know the outfits of my model until arrival. But, I knew I wanted the makeup to shine! “Is glitter going to be too much?” I questioned myself. But, who doesn’t like shimmer, glitz, and glam?
I laid the base of the makeup and began contemplating what could I do on the eyes to make them pop? GLITTER IT IS! I laid the foundation of the makeup, moisturizer, primer, eyebrows, and foundation. However, I did not have the color in the loose glitter I wanted to use on my model. GOLD! I wanted GOLD!
I began to express this to @mtebeauty, who not only does hair, but nails also. Therefore, she had a slew of loose glitters. Thank goodness. She came to my rescue! GOLD glitter we now had. It was time to make the magic happen!
It is incredible that there are so many products in the realm of art and beauty that serve multi purposes. This is why I constantly express when it comes to makeup, I remain optimistic! I am laughing but as serious as can be.
I decided to go with the GOLD glitter and a smoky look to shoot downtown in the city of Lawrenceville. Believe it or not, the GLITTER was not too much but instead turned out perfect for the shoot. To avoid an overbearing look, I kept the lips nude and the pictures turned out great.
Be sure to follow @voirbelle, @kevindanielsphoto, @mtebeauty, and @remedy.ruth and catch more of the visuals from the photoshoot!
